About
I believe that learning and making are some of the experiences that make life meaningful. I work alongside learners, using tools, both high and low tech, to create real things and inspire their natural drive to make sense of the world and their capacity to impact it.
Resume
I have worked across age groups and academic disciplines with students, teachers and communities to design experiences that put students at the center of the learning process by providing multiple entry points into content, employing inquiry-based techniques, connecting curriculum to lives, amplifying student voice, and building agency in learners.

Sound of Culture is an exploration of global cultures through instuments. Whether it's the banjo or the balafon, the mbira or the morin khuur, music is the universal expression of humanity, giving sound to who we are as individuals, and a group. The instruments found throughout the world are as diverse as its people. Music is the sound of culture.
Rethinking U.S. History is nine lessons challenging learners to look at U.S. history from different perspectives and rethink what it means to "know." Think deeply, ask questions and construct your own understanding of the past.
Society and the Individual is course of study that encourages learners to think about their identities in terms of class, community, ethnicity, family, gender, hopes and dreams, place, race, and religion. It challenges students to question assumptions about identity and examine media stereotypes.
Geography of Self is a project of personal discovery. We can learn about geography of a place by studying a map. A map is simply a representation of something real. You are the cartographer, or mapmaker, and the land you seek to represent is yourself. What might a map of you look like?
Experiments in Media is a project-based learning experience that aims to build students' skills creating with digital media.
